BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday adopt the Agenda for the December 04, 2024 meeting, as circulated. Page 2 of 7 December 4, 2024 Council -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday receive the Report pertaining to the North Hastings Library Board and that Council defer the request for funding to the 2025 budget discussions. -

Council of the Township of Faraday approve the minutes of the Council meetings of November 06 and 20, 2024 as circulated. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday receive and file the correspondence presented for information purposes. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday support the correspondence received from the Township of North Kawartha dated November 05, 2024 in regard to advocating for greater safety on Highway 28, requesting a comprehensive safety review of Highway 28 and requesting a group meeting with Minister Sarkaria. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday approve the Accounts for November, 2024, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday accept the Clerk Report, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday accept the Deputy Clerk Report, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday accept the Road Superintendent Report, as presented and hereby approves the Winter Maintenance Policy, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday accept the Fire Chief Report, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday accept the Building Report, as presented. -

BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 59-2024, being a By-law to opt-out of the Vacant Unit Rebate Program under Section 364 of the Municipal Act, 2001, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. -

BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 60-2024, being a By-law to adopt an Emergency Management Program and Emergency Response Plan and to meet other Requirements under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 62-2024, being a By-law authorizing approving a job description for the position of Chief Building Official/By-law Enforcement Officer, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. -

BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 63-2024, being a By-law authorizing approving a job description for the position of Operations Superintendent, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. -

BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 64-2024, being a By-law authorizing approving a job description for the position of CAO/Clerk-Treasurer, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. -

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday go into a closed meeting to: 1. Approve the closed meeting minutes of November 06 and 20, 2024. 2. Under Section 239(2)(b) and (d) of the Municipal Act regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees and labour relations or employee negotiations: Staff negotiations. 3. Under Section 239(2)(k) of the Municipal Act regarding a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Township of Faraday rise from the closed meeting, resuming regular business. -

BE IT RESOLVED that By-law 66-2024, being a By-law to confirm the proceedings of the December 04, 2024 meeting, be passed this 04th day of December, 2024, to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk with the Corporate Seal affixed hereto. -
